Downey & Co are a premier luxury printers, specialising in corporate and wedding stationery. Letterpress, engraving, gilding and embossing are just some of the techniques used.

Note cards are a part of Downey & Co's stationery range and a new set were commissioned which were to feature original illustrations of pretty much anything. Mexican skulls were one of the chosen set.

A skull template was created and printed before using some old fashioned tracing paper and a pen to create the decorative features. The final printed illustrations were to be no larger than an inch.
