Downey & Co are a premier luxury printers, specialising in corporate and wedding stationery. Letterpress, engraving, gilding and embossing are just some of the techniques used.

Downey & Co were exhibiting at the RSVP exhibition in London and needed an invite, a handout and a thank you card. The requirement was to showcase Downey's traditional values through their print techniques in a contemporary way. The solution was an abstraction of the acronym RSVP, which appeared to form or explode, depending on which side you looked at first. The same technique was then applied to the thank you card which used PS as the acronym.

The combination of vibrant foil printing and duplexing created a piece that was both elegant and outspoken.
